On Wednesday, August 16, Greendale 2nd graders were treated to a special visit by Delegate Israel O’Quinn. The students have been studying citizenship and what it means to be a good citizen at the school level, community level, state level, and national levels.

Watauga Elementary was prepared for the 2017 total solar eclipse. On Monday, August 21st, students at WES took advantage of this rare, educational opportunity and allowed students to safely experience the event during the school day.

Students in Mrs. Richardson’s fourth grade classroom recently completed a back to school escape room challenge. They were placed in teams and raced to solve a variety of four-digit codes based upon clues that they found along the way.

PHHS Boys Track State Champs and Girls State Runner Up |

We want to congratulate the girls and boys track teams on their outstanding track season in the Spring. Congratulations to the girls team who finished state runner up. Catherine G. led the team by winning two individual state championships in the 1600 meters and the 3200 meters. Maggie B. was state runner up in the triple jump. Others making the All State team were Madison B., Abigail B., Katie C., Rebekah T., Maria H., Kimi W., Annie S., Haydyn F., and Casey Q.
