Despite snow, sleet and freezing rain, nine Wallace Middle School students traveled with their coaches to Newport News to represent southwest Virginia in the regional science bowl competition at the event at Jefferson Lab on March 7. The teams spent the morning in a series of fast-paced round robin matches before they progressed to the double-elimination finals.
