WCCTEC's CISCO Networking Class Attends Commonwealth CyberFusion

Ten students stand under a quote from General Marshall.Ten WCCTEC CISCO Networking students received access to the invitation-only 2018 Commonwealth CyberFusion event at Virginia Military Institute on 24 February. Focusing on the demands of securing our Nation's future in cyberspace and defining the growing threat to commercial and government networks, WCCTEC students were exposed to some of the greatest minds in the industry.

Scheduled into the day were world-class presentations on I.o.T (Internet of Things), A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), Cyber-Forensics, and Smart Environments along with a cadet-guided tour of Virginia Military Institute. WCCTEC students also had access to representatives from Amazon Web Services (which hosts 33% of global cloud infrastructure), Northrop Gruman, Raytheon, SAIC, Telos, Noblis and Vencore.  CyberFusion motivated and impressed upon the WCCTEC CISCO students the sense of urgency and worthiness in their career path. This opportunity was a product of Virginia Tech's Computer Science Department professor Dr. Denis Gracanin and WCCTEC is extremely grateful for access.
